The World Affairs Council of Austin is a non-partisan organization dedicated to providing the public with educational opportunities which highlight America’s and Austin’s international roles, and creating conduits for a better understanding of the world by encouraging active participation and growth as global citizens.

The World Affairs Councils of America

The World Affairs Councils of America is the largest non-partisan, non-profit, grassroots organization in the United States dedicated to educating and engaging the American public on global issues. Each year, over 500,000 members and other event attendees benefit from World Affairs Councils’ programming.

Six Top Issues

The World Affairs Councils of America conducts a yearly survey asking the World Affairs Councils regional leadership to select the Six Top Issues for the president in the coming year. The National Conference in November is the annual celebration of the Six Top Issues and national network discussion.
